Estepona
Estepona has grown rapidly over the last 20 years but it had still retained much of its original Spanish charm. One of the reasons for the increase in popularity is down to its “blue flag” beaches which are wide and sandy and perfect for families.
There is a wide promenade behind the beach and of course many “chiringuitos” (beach bars) selling the “catch of the day”.
The old town is a maze of cobbled streets which lead into squares lined with cafes and tapas bars, the most famous being Plaza Las Flores.
The port is a hive of activity with many popular restaurants and bars and for the early birds you can still see the fish being auctioned in the morning. Estepona has a plethora of authentic fish restaurants and La Taberna de Lucia offers a real Spanish dining experience whilst sitting watching the boat masts sway in the breeze.
To the west of the port many new luxury developments have sprung up and Inspired Homes Marbella has a great selection for the more discerning buyer.
Estepona is also home to the first “Crystal Lagoon“ in Europe. This unique system allows for maintenance of unlimited sized pools and the lagoon at Estepona is 4 acres big, allowing ample space for water sports combined with safe swimming areas. Inspired Homes Marbella have a choice of 2 and 3 bedroom apartments within the complex.
